About the client

Our client is one of Austria’s largest insurance companies, offering a broad product portfolio including health, life, and property insurance. Serving private and business clients, our client combines long-standing expertise with a strong presence across Austria.

Manual data entry from online tools, agent visits, and scanned documents slowed down operations and caused frequent errors. We developed an AI-driven extraction and validation tool that automates this process for various document types such as passport, registration certificates, housing plans, energy certificates, exposés etc. - enabling faster processes and more accurate data processing.

We developed an AI-powered tool that extracts and structures data from diverse documents - passports, payslips, real estate exposés, and housing plans. In the fast-paced world of insurance, data is everywhere - but rarely in the right place at the right time. At our client’s organization, data such as customer data, property data etc. was being manually transferred from various sources like online applications, field agent visits, and scanned PDFs into internal systems. The process was slow, error-prone, and a serious blocker to efficient service.

Together with the client, we reimagined this workflow. We analyzed real data transfer cases, mapped bottlenecks with operations and IT teams, and designed an AI-powered solution that extracts, validates, and pre-structures the relevant data - no matter the source. Whether it’s a scanned document or an API-fed form, the system identifies key information and integrates it directly into the target systems.

The result? Errors dropped, speed increased, and teams could focus on service instead of data wrangling. A once-tedious back-office task became a smart, scalable process.
